Cricket Wellington Awards 2007

On Wednesday 18 April 2007 the Cricket Wellington Awards Evening was held in the Norwood Room, RA Vance Stand, Allied Prime Basin Reserve.

Easts - Grade Award Winners

Premier Men – Eastern Suburbs
Wellington 2C – Eastern Suburbs Tigers
Wellington 2B – Eastern Suburbs Giants
Wellington 2A – Eastern Suburbs Naturals

Royal Visit Cup

Awarded to the Wellington club with the highest aggregate points
Winner: Eastern Suburbs – 1151.32 points

Norwood Championship

Awarded to the Wellington club with the highest average number of points per team. To be eligible for this award, clubs must have a minimum of 5 teams
Second: Eastern Suburbs with 88.56 points per team with 14 teams

Marjorie Sweetman Memorial Trophy

Awarded to the person taking the most wickets in the senior women’s competition

Third: Toni Chapman – Eastern Suburbs with 21 wickets
Winner: Faele O’Conner – Eastern Suburbs with 25 wickets at an average of 9.32

Ron Murray Cup

Awarded to the person taking most wickets in The Dominion Post Premier grade
Second equal: Lance Dry – Eastern Suburbs with 44 wickets

Arthur Dick Cup

Awarded to the person who scores the most runs in The Dominion Post Premier grade Second: Scott Golder – Eastern Suburbs with 660 runs including 3 centuries including an unbeaten 149 in the final
Winner: Jeremy Dean – Eastern Suburbs: 708 runs at an average of 41.65 with a high score of 123 not out and five half centuries
