The Mighty Easts Club’s highly promising 18 year old Ricky Joseph hoisted a massive 1,875 runs for the Weekley & Warkton Cricket Club in Northamptonshire. Ricky achieved this extraordinary milestone in 33 innings for the club at an average of 60.48. This tally includes a top score of 240, plus four other centuries and eight half centuries. He has also snaffled 59 wickets for 1,037 runs - at an economy rate of 3.42 with a best bowling 5 for 30
This is an outstanding achievement for young Ricky. Just make sure you’ve got plenty of runs and wickets left in
you Ricky for when you get home!!!

18 year old Josh McLauchlan was the third Easts man to post 1,000 runs in the northern season. At his English club, Weekley & Warkton Cricket Club, Josh struck a purple patch at the tail end of the season recording 1,094 runs ( 9 x half centuries - best score 82 not out ) at an average of 42.08. Just for good measure, Josh also captured 34 wickets at 18.29 per wicket at an economy rate of 3.85. Best bowling 5 for 11.

20 year old Josh Brodie was another Easts man to raise 1,000 runs in the current English season. Playing for the The Lindum Cricket Club in Lincoln, Josh reached 1,158 runs at a staggering average of about 77.20 with 9 not outs, 5 centuries & 4 half centuries. Not only has he starred with the bat but Josh also racked up 48 wickets at 16.58 apiece ( economy rate of 3.57 ), bowling medium fast with the new ball!! Best bowling was 7 for 46.
Obviously, we’re going to have to look at this new-found skill very closely when he gets back!!
Jeremy Dean is at
Shepherds Bush Cricket Club in London. Jeremy was the leading runs scorer
for 2007 with 698 runs at an average of 38.78 from 18 innings. His highest score was 94 and achieved 6 half centuries.

Roger Fouhy played at
South Wiltshire Cricket Club, in Salisbury and was the
overseas recruit that was the only bowler to make the bowling list picking up 28 wickets ( best being 6-55 ), and whilst he was not at his best
for the whole season, did a good job at carrying a lightweight bowling attack. Did not have much chance with the bat.
